India will host the 13th edition of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup from August to September 2025. This marks the fourth time India has hosted the tournament, following the 1978, 1997, and 2013 editions. The tournament will feature eight teams competing in a round-robin and knockout format. Notably, matches between India and Pakistan are scheduled to be played at neutral venues due to diplomatic considerations.
India Women’s Tour of England
In June and July 2025, the Indian women’s team is scheduled to tour England for a bilateral series comprising five Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and three One Day Internationals (ODIs). The T20I series will run from June 28 to July 12, followed by the ODI series from July 16 to 22. This tour will coincide with the Indian men’s team’s Test series in England, offering fans a comprehensive cricketing experience.
Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025
The third season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) is scheduled from February 21 to March 16, 2025. Featuring five teams, the tournament will follow a double round-robin format leading into playoffs. Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the defending champions, will aim to retain their title in this highly anticipated domestic T20 league.
Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup
India’s Under-19 women’s team will participate in the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup in January 2025. Led by captain Niki Prasad, India’s campaign begins against the West Indies on January 19, followed by matches against Malaysia on January 21 and Sri Lanka on January 23.
